JUST IN: Trump Announces That Peter Navarro Will Return to The White House as Trump’s Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing

President Trump announced on Wednesday morning that Peter Navarro will return to the White House to serve as Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing in the next Trump Administration. 

Navarro was a top aide to Trump during his first term.

Navarro was released from prison earlier this year after serving a 4-month sentence for, like War Room host and Trump advisor Steve Bannon, defying a congressional subpoena.

In September 2023, he was convicted of criminal contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena before Liz Cheney’s January 6 investigation.

Biden’s corrupt DOJ sought a six-month prison term for Navarro, and Obama-appointed judge Amit Mehta sentenced Peter Navarro to 4 months in prison and ordered him to pay a $9,500 fine. He was then sent to prison despite an ongoing appeal process.

Trump notes in his Truth Social announcement that Navarro “was treated horribly by the Deep State.”

“During my First Term, few were more effective or tenacious than Peter in enforcing my two sacred rules, Buy American, Hire American,” said Trump.

He helped me renegotiate unfair Trade Deals like NAFTA and the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (KORUS), and moved every one of my Tariff and Trade actions FAST

The Senior Counselor position leverages Peter’s broad range of White House experience, while harnessing his extensive Policy analytic and Media skills. His mission will be to help successfully advance and communicate the Trump Manufacturing, Tariff, and Trade Agendas.

Peter is not just a superb, Harvard-trained Economist, he is a noted author of more than a dozen bestselling books on strategic business management and unfair Trade. He did a superb job for the American People in my First Term. Peter will do even better as Senior Counselor to protect American Workers, and truly Make American Manufacturing Great Again.
