In his new role, Bongino will serve under FBI Director Kash Patel, another steadfast ally in the mission to rejuvenate the bureau’s core mission of upholding the rule of law.
President Trump, in his announcement on Truth Social, lauded Bongino as “a man of incredible love and passion for our Country,” emphasizing that his appointment is “great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice.”
“Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel,” Trump announced on Truth Social last month.
“Dan has a Masters Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y., and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve. Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!”
Bongino’s exemplary career began with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) from 1995 to 1999, after which he joined the U.S. Secret Service. His tenure included prestigious assignments in the Presidential Protective Division under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
On his final podcast episode last Friday, Dan Bongino delivered an emotional farewell to his audience.
“My podcast audience has been with me for 10 years now. You guys started with me in the beginning. We had no idea what we were doing. We were just talking into a microphone thinking, ‘Gosh, I hope someone’s listening.’ And it became the number one live stream in the United States, all because of you guys. But I know you all understand why I made this decision to walk away. I know you get it. You don’t need me to explain to you the condition our country is in and why people — people better people than me — chose to serve the public.”
“I’m going to leave you like I left my podcast audience today, with the only words I could think of this morning when I was putting together this show: I’ll see you on the other side,” he concluded.
