Vice-President JD Vance is always ready to set leftists straight when they attempt to smear him and the rest of Team Trump. And today, he put on a masterclass performance upon being alerted to a massive hatchet job designed to sabotage the Trump Administration’s’ efforts to deport violent illegal aliens.

The Atlantic, a dishonest far-left publication, ran a sob story Monday night about the Trump Administration supposedly admitting it ‘mistakenly’ sent a ‘peaceful’ Maryland father to El Salvador’s infamous mega-prison CECOT. The publication further claimed that the man was falsely accused of being a member of MS-13, but it was too late to rectify the alleged ‘error.’

Seeing an opportunity to dunk on the Trump Administration, former Barack Obama speechwriter and podcast host Jon Favreau mockingly asked Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Elon Musk for comment on the story.

“Any comment on this, Marco Rubio? How about you, JD Vance? Elon Musk?” Favreau wrote. “You just admitted to accidentally sending an innocent father from Maryland to a torture dungeon in El Salvador. And you refuse to do anything about it.”

Vance happily obliged, pointing out that Favreau left out an inconvenient truth in his tweet: the man was an MS-13 gang member. Vance also slammed the Obama crony for caring more about violent illegal aliens than their victims.

“My comment is that according to the court document you apparently didn’t read, he was a convicted MS-13 gang member with no legal right to be here,” Vance fired back. “My further comment is that it’s gross to get fired up about gang members getting deported while ignoring citizens they victimize.”

Vance’s blunt reply then triggered Kyle Cheney, a liberal legal affairs reporter for Politico. He attempted to play gotcha with JD Vance and defend Favreau’s ‘honor’ by claiming Vance erred in saying the deported alien was “convicted.”

“Vance here, mocking Jon Favreau for not reading the court filing, says the deported man was a “convicted” gang member,” he claimed. “The court filing does not say that. It says he was denied bond in 2019 over an informant’s claim he was in MS-13. That’s not a conviction.”

But Vance, who has a law degree unlike Cheney, buried him by noting the ‘reporter’ left out three indisputable facts: The deported individual was an illegal alien, an immigration judge said he was an MS-13 gang member, and the migrant is not entitled to a full jury trial because he is not a citizen.

Kyle Cheney, a “legal affairs reporter,” is apparently unable or unwilling to look at the facts here. In 2019, an Immigration Judge (under the first Trump administration) determined that the deported man was, in fact, a member of the MS-13 gang. He also apparently had multiple traffic violations for which he failed to appear in court. A real winner.

It is telling that the entire American media is going to run a propaganda operation today making you think an innocent “father of 3” was apprehended by a gulag. Here are the relevant facts:

1) The man is an illegal immigrant with no right to be in our country.

2) An immigration judge determined he was a member of the MS-13 gang.

3) Because he is not a citizen, he does not get a full jury trial by peers. In other words, he received whatever “due process” he was entitled to.
