Recently uncovered court documents reveal that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a controversially deported El Salvadorian gangster, had a protective order for domestic violence filed against him by his wife, Jennifer Vasquez, in 2021.
Kilmar Garcia Abrego, Democrats argue, was wrongfully deported back to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act despite a previous order granting him protective status over his alleged fears of violence in El Salvador.
However, the Trump Administration cites two court rulings that found that Abrego Garcia is an MS-13 gang member–designating him as a foreign terrorist–and an El Salvadorian citizen who was in the United States illegally. “Under our law, he’s not even allowed to be in the United States and had to be returned because of the foreign terrorist designation,” White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller argues.
Ahead of a court hearing for her husband on Tuesday, whom she previously accused of domestic violence, Jennifer Vasquez pleaded to the American people for her illegal alien husband’s return to the U.S. so he can continue to reside here illegally.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Democrat lawmakers are traveling to El Salvador to demand that the President free a designated terrorist and El Salvadorian citizen from prison.
They claim the individual, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, is a “Maryland dad” and that he’s “innocent” while refusing to mention his ties to a designated foreign terrorist organization, MS-13, or that he’s an El Salvadorian national illegally in the U.S.
However, it turns out that Abrego Garcia’s wife, per court documents, filed for an order of protection against him for domestic violence in 2021, showing that the individual is apparently not the upstanding Maryland Father of the Year Democrats make him out to be.
According to The Chesapeake Today, “Jennifer Vasquez filed for a protective order due to domestic violence from her husband on May 13, 2021, and a final order was issued on June 17, 2021, by Prince George’s County District Court Judge LaKeecia Allen. Judge Allen was elevated to the Circuit Court on Aug. 1, 2024, by Maryland Governor Wes Moore. Judge Allen previously served as a prosecutor in the Prince George’s State’s Attorney’s Office.”
Still, the GoFundMe page for Garcia Abrego’s family, which has raised over $170,000, reads in part:
“Kilmar is an excellent father. He has always been there for our three children and all of their needs. Two of them are on the autism spectrum (ages five and nine), and our third has epilepsy (age 10). Kilmar has been the main provider of our household and the love of my life for over seven years. Since our family has been separated, I have been devastated and confused. I lost my life partner, my children lost their father, and all of our family, neighbors, co-workers, and friends have been devastated due to this unjust family separation.” – said Jennifer, Kilmar’s wife.
An X user shared on Wednesday that Jennifer Vasquez petitioned for a protective order against Garcia less than four years ago. As noted above, though, Vasquez described Garcia as “the love of my life for over seven years.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, after slamming Democrat lawmakers’ actions as “atrocious” in a press briefing on Tuesday, suggesting that “they’d see a bit higher approval ratings” if they cared more about American citizens than criminal illegal aliens, responded to the discovery. “Democrats are flying to El Salvador right now to demand the return of this violent illegal alien MS-13 gang member back into the United States,” she said on X.
