On Sunday, The Gateway Pundit reported that the Iran-backed terror organization Hamas announced the release of American-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander, 21.

Alexander, a dual U.S. citizen from New Jersey, was abducted on October 7, 2023, during the brutal Hamas-led invasion that left over 1,200 Israelis dead and hundreds kidnapped.

He is the last known American hostage still alive in Hamas custody.

Alexander was transferred to the Red Cross and handed over to Israeli special forces who escorted him out of the Gaza Strip.

Edan is said to be reuniting with his family, joined by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who has played a pivotal role in helping to release American hostages across the world.

Watch:

Family and friends in his hometown of Tenafly, New Jersey, began gathering in the early morning to celebrate his release.

Edan’s grandmother thanked President Trump calling him a messenger for God.

Per The New York Post:

“Trump made all the efforts and he is a good messenger of the Holy One, blessed be he,” Varda Ben Baruch told Ynet of the US president’s efforts to secure her grandson’s release.

“Thank God that the government cared about him.”

Since his return to the White House in January, President Trump has brought almost 50 Americans home who were forgotten and abandoned by the Biden-Harris regime.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Alexander may meet US President Donald Trump in Qatar, “if he wishes and his medical condition allows it, his family told YNet Monday evening ahead of his release from Hamas captivity.”

This story is developing.
