HERE WE GO: Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett Joins Liberal Justices, Grills Trump Admin During Oral Arguments Over Nationwide Injunctions (AUDIO)
The US Supreme Court on Thursday heard oral arguments on President Trump’s birthright citizenship case with a focus on nationwide injunctions.
The Trump Administration previously asked the Supreme Court to stop lower courts from issuing injunctions on a nationwide basis.
Four federal judges have blocked President Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order.
According to President Trump’s order, the 14th Amendment is being misinterpreted by the left to give citizenship to ‘anchor babies.’
“It is the policy of the United States that no department or agency of the United States government shall issue documents recognizing United States citizenship, or accept documents issued by State, local, or other governments or authorities purporting to recognize United States citizenship, to persons: (1) when that person’s mother was unlawfully present in the United States and the person’s father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth, or (2) when that person’s mother’s presence in the United States was lawful but temporary, and the person’s father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth,” Trump’s order stated.
Trump’s order argued the 14th Amendment has always excluded babies born to people in the US illegally.
The Supreme Court held oral arguments on the Trump Administration’s emergency application on Thursday.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the liberal justices and grilled Trump Admin Solicitor General John Sauer.
John Sauer did a great job pushing back on ACB’s suggestion that the Trump Administration does not respect the opinion of the lower courts.

Liberal, Biden-appointed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson argued the nationwide injunctions by a district judge to enjoin the government is “what we want.”

Liberal Justice Elena Kagan went off on John Sauer and the Trump Administration and repeatedly pointed out the losses in federal courts related to the citizenship birthright case.
