With an Improving Economy, Argentina’s Javier Milei Shows Increasing Political Force as His Party Wins Capital Buenos Aires’ Election

Argentina’s Javier Milei is getting politically stronger by the day.

When Javier Milei was elected Argentine President, there were no shortage of ‘analysts’ predicting that this crazed outsider was sure to lead the South American country deeper into the hole and finish destroying it.

Two years later, all these Liberal-Globalist voices have been proven oh so very wrong, as Milei’s administration stacks economic achievements, bringing down the insane inflation and securing the country’s first budget surplus in 14 years.

As a result of his no-nonsense economic policy and his rejection of ‘woke’ ideologies, Milei is starting to reap the political rewards.

Yesterday (18), the libertarian President received a show of support as the candidates he has endorsed won the legislative election in the capital city of Buenos Aires.

Reuters reported:

“With over 99% of polling stations counted, Milei’s list of candidates led by his spokesperson Manuel Adorni was leading the results for the local legislature with 30.1% of the votes, according to official results.

‘Today is a turning point for the ideas of freedom’, the libertarian Milei said on Sunday evening, celebrating the results on stage, accompanied by members of his cabinet.”

With the economic panorama looking up, Milei is increasingly gaining the trust of the voters.

Sunday’s election in the capital’s legislature was the first important electoral test for Milei since taking office.

“’It wasn’t simply a local election’, Adorni said on stage. ‘It was an election between two models … The model of the political class, the model of a privileged few, and the model of freedom. And today, freedom won – once again’.”

The Buenos Aires elections is traditionally an important indicator leading up to the national midterm elections in October.
