Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was caught on a hot mic mocking Trump DOJ officials after an unhinged magistrate judge ripped Alina Habba for the arrest of the New Jersey Democrat.

A federal magistrate judge on Wednesday blasted US Attorney Alina Habba for criminally charging Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and then dismissing his charges nearly a week later.

The Mayor of Newark was arrested for criminal trespass earlier this month after storming the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility.

US Attorney Alina Habba on Monday evening announced her office dropped a misdemeanor trespass charge against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.

The charge against Baraka was related to his riotous activity at the Delaney Hall ICE detention center earlier this month.

“After extensive consideration, we have agreed to dismiss Mayor Baraka’s misdemeanor charge or trespass,” Alina Habba said in a statement posted to X on Monday evening.

“In the spirit of public interest, I have invited the mayor to tour Delaney Hall. The government has nothing to hide at this facility, and I will personally accompany the mayor so he can see that firsthand,” Habba said.

Habba also announced her office charged Democrat Congresswoman LaMonica McIver for assaulting ICE agents.

Judge Andre Espinosa, who previously warned US Attorney Alina Habba against making public statements about Ras Baraka, held a virtual hearing on the matter on Wednesday afternoon.

During the hearing, Judge Espinosa blasted Alina Habba and said the arrest and swift decision to dismiss charges against Ras Baraka “suggests a worrisome misstep.”

The judge scolded prosecutors and said they must “operate with a higher standard…”

Ras Baraka was heard on a hot mic mocking DOJ officials after the judge went on a 5-minute rant: “Jesus, he tore these people a new a**hole. Good grief.”

A Democratic New Jersey mayor was caught making a vulgar comment about a Trump official as the criminal charges against him were dropped.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka appeared in court on Wednesday, when US Magistrate Judge Andre Espinosa scolded federal prosecutors who had charged him for trespassing at an ICE facility earlier this month.

President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Alina Habba, who now serves as the interim US Attorney for the District of New Jersey, claimed at the time that Baraka ‘ignored multiple warnings’ by Homeland Security Investigations to leave.

But the mayor – who is also running for New Jersey governor – has maintained that he was invited to the property to conduct oversight, and last week Habba stunningly announced her office was dropping the charges against him without offering any explanation.

For five full minutes on Wednesday, Espinosa reamed out the US Attorney’s Office for what he said was a ‘hasty’ decision to charge a public official, the New Jersey Globe reports.

Once he was done with his rant, Baraka could be heard on a hot mic, saying: ‘Jesus, he tore these people a new a**hole. Good grief.’
