California Governor Gavin Newsom Announces Lawsuit Against President Trump as Violent Thugs Continue to Torch Los Angeles

California Governor Gavin Newsom has announced he is finally taking action as insurrectionists try to burn the Golden State’s most famous city to the ground. Of course, he is focusing not on the criminals but those trying to end the violence.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, violent protests broke out on Friday after ICE agents conducted multiple raids in downtown Los Angeles.

The riots continued into Saturday. Protesters started fires, threw projectiles at law enforcement officers, and damaged property in response to LA Mayor Karen Bass’s call for action against ICE agents. The situation turned south so quickly that Trump deployed the National Guard to restore order while Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom sat on their hands.

But things only escalated yesterday with thugs torching cars, attacking police horses, and continuing to assault law enforcement officials.

Newsom, though, says this is all Trump’s fault and announced this morning he would be suing him.

“This is exactly what Donald Trump wanted,” Newsom wrote on X. “He flamed the fires and illegally acted to federalize the National Guard.”

“The order he signed doesn’t just apply to CA, it will allow him to go into ANY STATE and do the same thing,” the California governor added.

“We’re suing him.”

This move by Newsom comes after he lashed out at Trump and taunted Border Czar Tom Homan amid violent anti-ICE riots in downtown Los Angeles.

Newsom dared Homan to arrest him during an interview with the media at the LAPD headquarters.

“Tom, arrest me, let’s go, let’s just get it over with, tough guy,” Newsom said as he mocked Homan.
