Russia’s Medvedev Warns Moscow No Longer Supports Ukraine Being Part of ‘Enemy’ European Union, Says Brussels Is the ‘Biggest Threat to Russia’
Dmitry Medvedev is the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, having also served as President and Prime Minister of Russia.
Medvedev is one of the greatest social media trolls in the planet, second only to the likes of Donald J. Trump and Elon Musk.
The veteran politician is also the voice of Russian maximalism, with a no-holds-barred approach that we have reported on in ‘THINK TWICE, NAZI!’: Russia’s Medvedev Torches Germany’s Merz After Incoming Chancellor Vows To Send Long-Distance Taurus Missiles to Ukraine, and POINT OF NO RETURN: Zelensky Rejects Victory Day Truce, Doubles Down on Threats to Moscow’s Parade Packed With Foreign Dignitaries – Russia’s Medvedev Hints at Nuclear Retaliation.
Recently, Medvedev fell on the bad side of Trump, that torched him on: “I Guess that’s Why Putin’s THE BOSS” — Trump Blasts Russian Security Council Deputy Over Threat to Arm Iran with Nuclear Weapons.

Reuters reported:
“Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday that the European Union had evolved into an enemy of Russia that posed a direct threat to its security, and Moscow was now opposed to Ukraine joining the bloc.
Russia has long been opposed to Ukraine joining the NATO Western military alliance, […} but it has in the past been more relaxed about the prospect of Kyiv becoming a member of the EU. President Vladimir Putin said in June 2022 that Russia had ‘nothing against’ that, and the Kremlin said as recently as February that joining the bloc was Ukraine’s sovereign right.
However, Medvedev, who is now deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, said that the EU had shifted from being an economic bloc dedicated to preventing war into what he called a politicized anti-Russian organization that was slowly turning into a military bloc.”

Complete text of Medvedev on why Ukraine should not become a member of the EU, as reported by Slavyangrad:
“Just 15-20 years ago, no one in our country particularly objected to Kiev’s plans to join the European Union. Like, if you want to, go ahead and enjoy. Only that later you will you bite your elbows when you lose the EAEU market.
It seemed, what fundamental threat could such economic cooperation from Kiev pose to our country? Especially since its chances of joining the EU were almost zero.
Our principled position was to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO: its expansion to our borders was and remains a direct threat to Russia’s national security.
But today the old European Union, which was once created on the basis of the European Coal and Steel Community, essentially no longer exists.
It is a politicized globalist and, for some time now, rabidly Russophobic organization. An organization that dreams of revenge against Russia. The idiotic European politicians of recent years have made every effort to achieve this. They have completely destroyed the idea of the EU as an economic giant that does not want wars and discord between European powers.
Now its main ideology is bestial Russophobia, generated by the imaginary “Russian threat” that they themselves pumped up to solve their petty problems. Slowly but surely, the European Union is turning into a self-sufficient military bloc, which should gradually begin to compete with NATO, especially in the period of Trumpism.
Brussels cockroaches and narrow-minded leaders of EU countries proclaim their own defense strategy, declaring the entry into the “era of rearmament.”
This ugly metamorphosis of the European Union also has a separate goal: to arm the neo-Nazi Kiev regime to such an extent that it becomes invulnerable to Russia. It is the EU that signed an agreement with the illegitimate leader of a dying Ukraine on long-term commitments to ensure its so-called security. It is the EU that supplies the Bandera freaks with weapons and military equipment, promoting the power of its defense industry, and building defense plants on their territory. It is the EU that sends its instructors to train Ukrainian militants so that they kill our citizens and commit terrorist attacks in our country. And the same EU brazenly finances its disgusting actions at the expense of income from frozen Russian assets.
Brussels today is a real enemy of Russia. In such a distorted form, the European Union represents no less a threat to us than the North Atlantic Alliance.
The EU, packed with weapons, rainbow freaks and Brussels screaming bitches, is a direct threat to Russia. That is exactly how it should be treated.”
