Reform UK’s Nigel Farage Blasts Macron-Starmer Latest Immigration Deal: ‘a Humiliation for Brexit Britain’

The 3-day state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the United Kingdom has come to an end. Macron was wined and dined, treated like a valued ally by King Charles.
But when it comes to his negotiations on migration with failing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is concerned, his visit left a bitter taste for many.
Channeling the popular outrage, conservative champion Nigel Farage took to social media to blast Starmer, saying that his ‘one-in, one-out’ migrant deal with Macron is nothing less than a ‘humiliation for Brexit Britain’.
The Telegraph reported:
“The Reform leader heavily criticized the returns agreement unveiled by Sir Keir and Mr. Macron on Thursday as they marked the end of a three-day summit. Sir Keir faces a backlash over the deal, which was only agreed in principle, after it emerged it would likely mean only about 50 migrants would be returned to France each week.”
This agreement is a humiliation for Brexit Britain. We have acted today as an EU member and bowed down to an arrogant French President.

Farage, as many will remember, was a pivotal figure in the campaign for Britain to leave the European Union – something that was voted for in 2016, but only implemented in 2020.
And not only was the deal bad, there’s also the audacity of Macron – after receiving almost half a billion sterling pounds to stop the rubber boats and doing nothing about it – blaming Brexit for the illegals’ invasion of the UK.
“He told reporters: ‘Since Brexit, and I’m saying all this quite honestly, I know it’s not your case, Prime Minister, but many people in your country explained that Brexit would make it possible to fight more effectively against illegal immigration. But it’s in fact since Brexit [that] the UK has no migratory agreement with the EU’.”

The Conservative Party also responded to Starmer’s plan, vowing to restore their flagship Rwanda deportation plan.
Shadow home secretary Chris Philp notes that returning just one in every 17 illegals arriving is meaningless.
“Allowing 94 per cent of illegal immigrants to stay will make no difference whatsoever and have no deterrent effect. This is the latest catastrophic example that when Labour negotiates, the UK loses. The Conservatives would restore the Rwanda plan, which Starmer cancelled just days before it was due to start. This would see 100 per cent of illegal immigrants being immediately removed without judicial process.”
