HERE WE GO: RINO Congresswoman Maria Salazar Introduces Bipartisan Mass Amnesty “Dignity Act” to Provide “Earned Opportunity” for Millions of Illegals to Stay and Work – “Yes, They Broke the Law, but…” (VIDEO)
Pro-illegal alien Congresswoman Maria Salazar (R-FL) announced on Wednesday that she introduced a bipartisan bill, co-sponsored by Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX), to grant work visas to illegal aliens.
She says the bill is “not amnesty,” but work visas for illegal aliens is literally amnesty.
Republican co-sponsors of the bill include Mike Lawler (R-NY), David Valadao (R-CA), Dan Newhouse (R-WA), Mike Kelly (R-PA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Gabe Evans (R-CO), Marlin Stutzman (R-IN), Don Bacon (R-NE), and Young Kim (R-CA).
Salazar, the primary sponsor, has appeared along with Democrat Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, and Delaware Democrat Senator Chris Coons, a close ally of Joe Biden at the World Economic Forum’s panel on American governance at Davos, The Gateway Pundit previously reported. It’s safe to say, she’s probably a globalist who wants to dilute America’s national identity with third-world imported aliens.
Background:
On July 3, President Trump stunned supporters by revealing that legislation is being drafted to protect illegal aliens in the agriculture and hospitality industries while speaking in Des Moines, Iowa. According to Trump, the idea came from Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. He then called his supporters who would oppose this proposal “serious radical right people.”
Days later, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk claimed on his show that the President was being pressured by “high-level people” to sign a bipartisan mass amnesty deal to grant amnesty for 25 million+ people who are in our country illegally. This was after Trump signed the Big Beautiful Bill and provided over $150 billion, which we were told would be used to ramp up deportation efforts.
On July 8, ahead of a cabinet meeting at the White House, Agriculture Secretary Rollins attempted to walk back the idea of amnesty and tell Americans the administration was still committed to fully enforcing immigration law. But the caveat is that they will do mass deportations “in a strategic way,” she said.
During the cabinet meeting that same day, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who is listed as a co-sponsor of the original bill in 2023, clarified that they are “focusing on what the law entails now, being more modernized, more streamlining to work through the H programs.” She added, “We’re going to have a concierge approach to that, where we have developed a new office to answer the needs of our farmers, ranchers, and producers, and not to displace the American worker.”
By Deremer’s own admission, instead of deporting illegal aliens, who are here in violation of federal law, the Trump Administration is going to give them work visas!
Now, several members of Congress are attempting to ram through a bipartisan bill to give amnesty, which is described as “not amnesty,” to MILLIONS of illegal aliens.
According to a press release from Rep. Maria Salazar, a Cuban-born Congresswoman, her bill “allows certain long-term undocumented immigrants to earn legal status,” but it claims that it does this “without amnesty or a path to citizenship.” Still, it gives a seven-year legal status, allows illegal aliens to renew their status, and grants “legal status and a path to permanent residency” to so-called “dreamers.” She said “over 10 million people, or more” illegal aliens will benefit, while repeating the Democrat talking point that “we will not have food by this Friday” without them.
What happens when these illegals with “legal status” don’t renew their status? Will the next Democrat President just give them full amnesty as opposed to seven-year amnesty?
Per the press release:
KEY PROVISIONS OF THE DIGNITY ACT INCLUDE:
- Border Security: Fully funds modern border infrastructure and enforcement.
- Mandatory E-Verify: Prevents illegal hiring and protects American jobs.
- Asylum Reform: Ends catch-and-release, and ensures timely and credible outcomes.
- Dreamer Protections: Grants legal status and a path to permanent residency.
- The Dignity Program: A 7-year earned legal status program allowing undocumented immigrants to live and work legally, with renewable status based on good conduct and restitution.
- Workforce Development: Expands training, apprenticeships, and education for American workers.
- Legal Immigration Reform: Updates visa categories to align with 21st-century economic needs.
“The legislation acknowledges a key truth: most undocumented individuals are not seeking citizenship at all costs, but rather the dignity of living and working legally, contributing to society, paying taxes, being safe from deportation, and traveling to see family during the holidays,” the press release, which is full of Democrat talking points, states.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Salazar actually admitted that she is trying to help lawbreakers. “Yes, they broke the law, but someone gave them a job because they needed those workers,” she said.
That someone, who gave them jobs, also broke the law.
In return for paying, on average, $1,000 per year (almost nothing), not taking advantage of Medicare/Medicaid, “they will never be deported,” Salazar said. So much for “mass deportations.”
“It gives them a dignified life in the Promised Land, period.” What about the people who waited in line and did it the right way?
Salazar says she spoke to President Trump and said, “the same God who saved you from death in Pennsylvania one year ago and who put your back in the Oval Office against all odds, is the same God Almighty who millions and millions are begging to for some type of dignity, not amnesty.”
Every Democrat in Congress will probably vote for this, but the same can’t be said for Republicans. This is not what Republican constituents voted for.
WATCH:
Salazar: I would like to thank all the members, 20 in total, Democrats and Republicans who have joined us as original co sponsors, original in this fight. It takes a lot of courage to step up and say that you want to be part of the solution, especially on the issue of immigration, one of the toughest in the country. So, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you all, specifically to Veronica Escobar, who is my co sponsor in this bill. My message is that the economy is the most powerful engine, our economy, the most powerful engine of prosperity mankind has ever known. We just signed the Big Beautiful Bill, ushering a new, modern era for American greatness. But there is one shadow still looming over the economy, our immigration system.
That’s why we are here today to introduce the dignity law. Dignity is not amnesty. Dignity does not grant path to citizenship to anybody. Dignity is the Solomonic way to fix a 40 year problem. Last week, we in Congress, through the BBB, we allocated $150 billion to secure the southern border, but the truth is that we still have over 10 million people, or more, working in construction, hospitality, agricultural, dairies, fisheries, slaughterhouses, who are undocumented, but who are not criminals. Human beings, invisible to the average American, but without them, we will not have food by this Friday. Yes, they broke the law, but someone gave them a job because they needed those workers, workers who are still needed today.
The Secretary of Homeland Security said it, herself. Homeland Security, she said it herself, clearly: Congress needs to write legislation to fix this mess. Well, here is the legislation, madam. No more need to choose between amnesty or deportation. Dignity bill is the answer, and here’s how it works. If you are undocumented and you have been in the country for more than five years, you do not have a criminal record, you’re working and paying taxes, you can come out of the shadows with no fear and apply for the dignity status.
That means they will pay a fine of $7,000 over seven years, buy their own health insurance with no access to any federal programs, and contribute 1% of their salary to the United States Treasury– that is $50 billion plus, just do the math. In return, they will never be deported. They will be able to go home for Christmas or to go bury their mother and come back to the United States, continue working and paying taxes. It gives them a dignified life in the Promised Land, period.
Now, I went to speak directly to the President of the United States. President Trump, sir, the same God who saved you from death in Pennsylvania one year ago and who put your back in the Oval Office against all odds, is the same God Almighty who millions and millions are begging to for some type of dignity, not amnesty. Sir, I believe that you could be for immigration what Lincoln was for slavery and Reagan was for communism. You are a businessman who understands our economy needs a reliable working force in areas where other Americans don’t participate.
You stopped Iran on its tracks. You stop China from eating our lunch. You took the economy, economic oxygen away from Maduro, and you signed the BBB the day that you said you were going to sign it. You have been called to do this, to fix this 40-year mess with just one signature, your’s. Human dignity is one of the Seven Pillars of American conservatism. For that reason, Mr. President, the eye of history is upon us. some of the most shameful moments in our past as the country relates to how we have treated immigrants, who are not criminals, and we are in one of those moments. If we get this wrong, future generations will pay the price in shame. But if we get it right, the United States will continue to lead Liberty, and you will have been the Commander in Chief. It’s in your hands, Mr. President, may the Lord guide you.
