Senate Votes to Advance Emil Bove Confirmation to Third Circuit Court of Appeals – Murkowski Votes No!

The US Senate on Tuesday voted 52-48 to advance Emil Bove’s confirmation to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Toxic RINO Lisa Murkowski joined the Democrats and vote ‘no.’

The full floor vote will happen this week. A simple majority vote is needed to confirm Bove.

Politico reported:

Senate Republicans cleared a key procedural hurdle to advance Emil Bove’s confirmation to a seat on the Third Circuit.

The Senate voted 50-48 Tuesday afternoon to proceed with Bove’s nomination, after Senate Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley’s decision to pause debate on his nomination caused a Democratic walkout in committee last week. Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska joined with Democrats in voting “no.”

The Senate’s vote on Tuesday comes after Judiciary Committee Democrats stormed out of a hearing to advance Emil Bove last week.

Senate Judiciary Democrats launched an 11th hour attack on Emil Bove and demanded the Committee to allow Erez Reuveni, a disgruntled fired DOJ official to testify against Bove.

The stunt failed after Grassley shut it down. GOP Senator Tillis, viewed as a ‘swing vote’ on the committee also supported Bove and voted to advance his nomination.

Senator Cory Booker began shouting at Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) ahead of the committee vote.

“This lacks decency! It lacks decorum! It shows that you do not want to simply hear from your colleagues! This is us simply trying to rush through one of the most controversial nominees we’ve had under this presidential administration!” Booker shouted as Mazie Hirono and other Democrats stood up and walked out in protest.
