A HOUSE DIVIDED: Ukrainian Intelligence Agency SBU Again in Open Conflict Against Anti-corruption Bureau NABU, Repeating Clash That Led to Massive Street Protests

SBU spooks lash out against Anti-Corruption watchdogs.
Back in July, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky and his goons at intel agency SBU unleashed an attack against the anti-corruption agencies NABU and SAPO – reportedly because people high up in government were under investigation.
The arrests in the agencies and the legislation removing the power from the anti-graft investigators led to an unprecedented season of popular protests against Zelensky and his government.
The Gateway Pundit followed the story play by play:

Now, a mere two months later, a new conflict between the agencies flared up again, as the SBU accused the anti-corruption watchdogs of ‘deliberately targeting’ a former high-ranking SBU agent.
Reuters reported:
“The public showdown between the agencies first erupted after the SBU arrested two anti-graft officials for suspected ties to Russia, at a time when Kyiv is seeking to prove to European partners that it is tackling corruption even as it fights a war.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) on Tuesday brought charges against the SBU’s former cyber-security chief of illegal enrichment, alleging that he had obtained a Kyiv apartment at a knockdown price with illicit funds and had falsely declared it.
The SBU responded swiftly, saying the accusation, rooted in a 2024 investigative report by Ukrainian media, was baseless and amounted to ‘revenge’ for its own prosecution of the NABU officials. NABU has not publicly commented on that assertion.”
It’s worthy of note that Reuters do not publish the name of the man – Illia Vitiuk or Ilya Vityuk.
Ukraine’s anti-corruption bureau (NABU) has brought charges against Illia Vitiuk, the former head of the SBU’s cybersecurity unit.
The SBU has called the case “revenge” for its detention of several NABU employees earlier this summer.https://t.co/wq3TCRqL2c
