Single Mother of Three Faces Ongoing Hardship After J6 Persecution – Please Help Rasha Rebuild Her Life!
Rasha Abual-Ragheb came to the United States from overseas 20 years ago in search of freedom. She became a proud American citizen, a devoted Christian, and a single mother raising three children on her own. She loved this country deeply, and like countless other patriots, she answered the call to stand for election integrity and the Constitution on January 6, 2021.
Her life would never be the same again.
“I took a simple picture in a tutu, smiling in front of the Capitol,” Rasha recalls. “I never committed violence. I was surrounded by police on both sides. How could I know I was trespassing? There were no signs.”
That innocent moment turned into a nightmare when, less than two weeks later, a team of more than 20 armed federal agents and a SWAT unit descended on her New Jersey home in the pre-dawn hours. Guns were pointed at her and her sleeping children. Federal agents accused her of being a terrorist, and social services were on standby to take her kids away.
This was especially shocking to Rasha because, after the September 11 attacks, the FBI had actually requested her help to voluntarily translate using her Arabic language skills, a service she gladly provided to assist her adopted country.
Rasha was charged with multiple federal offenses for exercising her First Amendment rights. She says she never got a fair trial — key evidence was withheld, and she was coerced into a plea deal under the threat of imprisonment and losing her children. After her arrest, Rasha says she was forced onto heavy medication just to cope with the stress and trauma. When she later attempted to withdraw her plea and pursue an appeal, she was told doing so would result in her immediate imprisonment — a threat that left her with no real choice but to comply. Her record now brands her as a “domestic terrorist,” destroying her reputation and making it nearly impossible to find work or stable housing.
“They judged me by my Arabic name,” Rasha said. “They even told me I could be deported — even though I’m an American citizen. This is not justice. This was political persecution.”
A Life Turned Upside Down
Since her arrest, Rasha has endured relentless hardship:
Loss of employment and income.
Social isolation as lifelong friends turned their backs.
Harassment and bullying of her children.
Severe PTSD, depression, panic attacks, and even a mini-stroke from the stress.
For over two years, she could not secure stable housing, eventually relocating to one of the worst residences she had ever lived in just to have a roof over her family’s heads.
Her children live with the memory of federal agents pointing guns at them, and the fear that their mother could be taken away again. “My kids lost their trust in law enforcement that day,” she says quietly.
Despite everything, Rasha’s faith has sustained her. Born and raised Muslim, she chose to follow Jesus Christ after coming to America — even knowing it would cost her relationships with her family. “I found the God who would never judge me,” she says. “I lost my old life, but I found my happiness in Him.”
