Phillies Dad Reveals the Reason He Gave Up His Son’s Home Run Ball to Screaming Phillies Karen as He and His Son Break Their Silence on the Incident (VIDEO)
The father of the young boy who an angry Karen bullied into handing over his son’s home run ball has explained why he gave in.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, a woman at the Phillies game lost her mind after a father in left field grabbed a home run ball and gave the souvenir to his young son, Lincoln. She then approached the family and forced the birthday boy to hand his ball over.
The viral incident from Friday set the internet ablaze and crowned the woman “Phillies Karen.”
Video footage from the stands shows the woman yelling at the family in a shrill voice, “That was ours!… No, you took it from me! It was in my hand!”
The dad, Drew Faltwell, spoke out about the incident during an interview with NBC10 Philadelphia on Saturday.
“I don’t even remember what she said. It was a lot of eyes on us by that time, and the ball was already in his glove, and she wouldn’t stop, and I mean, I’m literally leaning back as she’s in my face yelling and yelling,” Faltwell explained.” And I mean, I’m literally leaning back as she’s in my face yelling and yelling.”
“I pretty much just wanted her to go away because I had a fork in the road: either do something I was probably going to regret or be dad and show him how to de-escalate the situation, so that’s where I went,” He added.

Lincoln also broke his silence during the interiview. He defended his father’s action, saying he was in a no-win situation.
“I wasn’t very happy that we had to give it to her, but we can’t win,” the boy said.
However, as Conradson later reported, Lincoln did get a huge win when both teams honored him with gifts.
The Phillies even got him a meeting with Gold Glove-winning outfielder Harrison Bader, who hit the homer in question, and a signed bat.
