Sudan is collapsing into one of the deadliest humanitarian crises of the century—and Democrats are saying almost nothing.

Since fighting erupted in April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, over 14,000 civilians have been killed, and more than 10 million have been displaced.

New satellite images show what appear to be bloodstains on sand and bodies strewn across El Fasher, North Darfur, Sudan, amid reports of mass killings by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the war-torn region.

Yale University’s Humanitarian Research Lab (HRL) published the images on Tuesday in a new report, following the faltering of ceasefire talks for the country in Washington and the entry of RSF into El Fasher on Sunday.

“Yale HRL finds evidence consistent with systematic mass killings of people outside El Fasher along the berm in satellite imagery collected on 27 and 28 October 2025,” the report reads.

The United Nations calls it the world’s largest humanitarian disaster, with famine spreading, entire towns destroyed, and children dying from starvation.

Yet while the world watched Gaza nonstop, Sudan’s suffering has vanished from the headlines.

When Israel defends itself against Hamas, Democrat politicians and progressive activists flood social media, issue statements, and organize rallies.

But when Sudanese civilians are being massacred by militias and starved by blockades, they stay silent.

This silence is a clear example of selective outrage. It exposes how the modern left only mobilizes when a crisis fits its political narrative.

In Gaza, progressives can blame Israel. In Sudan, there’s no easy villain to rally against—so the issue gets ignored.

According to the International Rescue Committee, more than half of Sudan’s 48 million people now need humanitarian aid.

Famine-like conditions are spreading in Darfur and Khartoum, where civilians are trapped between warring forces.

Aid convoys have been looted, hospitals bombed, and hundreds of humanitarian workers killed.

The UN says Sudan’s 2025 aid plan requires over $4 billion to prevent widespread starvation—but barely a fraction has been funded.

Where are the Democrats who claim to stand for human rights?

Where are the campus protesters demanding justice for Sudanese children?

The same activists who chant about “colonialism” in Gaza have ignored a true African tragedy unfolding in real time.

Sudan’s civil war has nothing to do with American politics, but our silence makes us complicit.

The world’s response—especially from those who preach moral leadership—should not depend on which narrative trends on social media.

If progressives truly care about humanity, they should care about Sudan as much as Gaza. Because every life, regardless of politics or geography, deserves to matter.
