WATCH: ‘Low IQ’ Rep. Jasmine Crockett Says She’s ‘About to Spend a Lot of Money’ Polling Her Chances in a Senate Run

“Low IQ” Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett is actively considering a challenge to Republican Sen. John Cornyn’s U.S. Senate seat in the 2026 election.
The freshman congresswoman has gained a national profile due to her ridiculous comments and high-profile feuds, including with President Donald Trump, who recently challenged her to take an IQ test.
In a recent interview with Politico, Crockett revealed that she is “seriously weighing” a run, planning to spend significant funds on polling to assess her statewide viability and holding multiple meetings with a potential campaign manager, although she did not disclose the name.
“I am seriously weighing it, to the extent that I’m about to spend a lot of money to get data,” Crockett told Politico.
She highlighted the challenges of building name recognition in Texas, noting the state’s early primary and high campaign costs.
“I don’t think that we have the luxury, especially with us having such an early primary, of actually doing what we normally do, which — we spend about $100 million to get someone’s name ID up,” Crockett said. “But the way that I look at elections is that that’s just first base.”
Crockett did express doubt about any Democrat’s chances against Cornyn.
“I’m going to be flat out with you and tell you that I don’t think that there’s a Democrat that can take out Cornyn,” she stated. “For me, I would be making a very last-minute decision because it’s not just about winning the primary. You gotta win the general.”

ALERT: Jasmine Crockett, who is about to be redistricted out of her seat by the Midterms, is eyeing a Senate run in Texas.
I’d like to be the first one to personally thank her for helping us maintain our Senate Majority. There’s no way she will win in red Texas.

If she enters the race, Crockett would face a competitive Democratic primary, including state Rep. James Talarico and former Rep. Colin Allred. Former Reps. Beto O’Rourke and Joaquin Castro are also considering bids.
Crockett aims to position herself as a fighter for “vulnerable” populations, declaring, “We don’t necessarily need all this machismo directed at some of the most vulnerable people. What we need is people that are going to be strong and fight for the most vulnerable amongst us. And I think that that is the brand that I have set out for myself, is that I want to fight for the American dream.”
Crockett’s potential Senate bid follows a string of controversial statements and actions that have drawn sharp criticism.
She has compared ICE raids to “slave patrols,” insisted that committing crimes “doesn’t make you a criminal,” and sparked uproar with a disgusting comment about a murdered victim of illegal immigration.
Crockett has also smeared conservative icon Charlie Kirk with lies after his assassination and claimed ICE is just a “fancy Uber driver for immigrants.”
Most recently, President Trump hilariously challenged her and Rep. AOC to an IQ test battle, labeling them “low IQ” and boasting about his own cognitive test results.
Crockett responded by claiming Trump’s remarks perpetuate stereotypes about women of color.
“But he absolutely consistently buys into this idea, or continues to put it out there that women of color somehow are low IQ,” Crockett said on CNN. “Let me be clear. I have a lot more education than he does.”
The congresswoman did not agree to take the IQ test.
