Zohran Mamdani’s NYC Victory Already Doing Wonders for the Florida Real Estate Market

The election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York is not necessarily bad news – if you’re a real estate agent in Florida.
Interest in new homes in Florida is already exploding, just days after the Democrat Socialist (communist) won the election to mayor of America’s biggest city.
It’s similar to what we saw during the Covid-19 pandemic. When people in New York want to live in freedom, they have a tendency to move to Florida en masse.

A Florida real estate agent says the rumors are true: wealthy New Yorkers are already fleeing the city in droves following the election of Zohran Mamdani to the office of mayor on Tuesday.
Kourtney Pulitzer, a Sotheby’s International Realty agent based in Palm Beach, Florida, described the phenomenon on her TikTok.
“I’m not gonna lie, I did not think exactly this was going to happen – I thought this guy was gonna win in New York City. I thought that our market was going to pick up. But I didn’t think it was going to happen the next morning,” Pulitzer said in the clip.
“It’s 3 or 4 o’clock … I’ve literally been on the phone since 7 a.m. Nonstop, back-to-back calls. I had showings scheduled for listings that haven’t had showings in a month. And yeah, I was wrong, because it literally turned on like a light bulb. Literally blew off like a firecracker. And the post-socialist New York City political market is here on our shores, in Palm Beach.”
This anticipated mass exodus to the Sunshine State is being reported across news outlets nationwide, from local affiliates to The New York Times.
More from Breitbart News:
The real estate business in South Florida is booming with residents of New York City looking to relocate as the political climate in the Big Apple appears to be taking a hard left turn, a developer told Fox Business.
The CEO of BH Group in Miami, Isaac Toledano, explained that his company “has closed more than $100 million in signed contracts from New York buyers in just the past few months – about twice last year’s volume,” and he believes a lot of it has to do with politics, the outlet reported Wednesday.
He said, “I think the election accelerated how people make decisions. I think people are nervous [for] what’s coming, how it’s going to affect their lifestyle, the quality of life, taxes, potential of crime [or] no crime.”
Some people in Florida are not happy about this.

It will be fascinating to see how many people flee New York City in the coming year.
