Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-V.I.) may have dug her hole deeper with an embarrassing remark on CNN this morning as her glaring ties to Jeffrey Epstein continue to spark public outrage.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the House of Representatives on Tuesday evening voted against censuring Plaskett over her collusion with Jeffrey Epstein during a 2019 congressional hearing.

Earlier Tuesday, the House voted to advance the measure to censure Plaskett and remove her from the House Intelligence Committee. Then, later that evening, the House voted 214 -209 against censuring Plaskett.

Every Democrat voted against the censure, while three Republicans voted present, and three other GOP lawmakers joined the Democrats.

On CNN this morning, Plaskett responded to the House’s failed effort, which was part of a dirty backroom deal orchestrated by the leadership of both parties.

During the interview, she managed to turn a victory lap into an embarrassing moment for herself after co-host Pamela Brown reminded her of a basic fact. When she was communicating with Epstein, he was a known sex offender.

Plaskett then responded with an insane excuse that should insult the intelligence of every American: “There are a lot of people who have done a lot of crimes.”

WATCH:

PLASKETT: I believed that Jeffrey Epstein had information, and I was gonna get that information to get at the truth.

Um, having a friendship with him, is not something I uh, would, would, deem to have. Um, so I’m looking forward to moving forward.

If individuals are not involved in illegal activity…I think that we need to look at what people are doing moving forward.

BROWN: Wait, let me just better understand that, because at that point, he was a known sex offender and it had been detailed.

PLASKETT: There are a lot of people who have done a lot of crimes.

This last remark brings to mind a comment her fellow leftist Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) once infamously uttered, “Some people did something!”

Democrats truly have no good arguments nor any shame.
