Defiant! Temple University’s Medical School Maintains DEI Program

Temple University in liberal Philly remains defiant.

According to Campus Reform, “The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia has renamed its Office of Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion—but is maintaining its DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives.”

The American public and taxpayer will not be fooled by this trick.

Although they have changed the name to Office of Strategic Partnership in Health, Education and Resources they continue to promote DEI programs.

Despite the name change “the website still features the institutions Diversity Statement and references the Temple Health LGBTQ Alliance Task Force.”

“The renaming reflects an “expanded, school-wide commitment to advancing equity,” according to an internal email obtained by The Center Square and reported by the Washington Examiner on Nov. 21. ”

The name change, likely designed to attempt to fool the public and thwart the Trump administration’s efforts, was a message signed by Dean Amy Goldberg, Senior Associate Dean for Health Equity Abiona Berkeley, and Associate Dean Andrew Sanderson, who attempted to clarify the move.

Their statement asserted that “education and training, community partnerships, student and trainee support, faculty development, and data-informed equity initiatives” will continue uninterrupted.”

In case there were any doubts, their woke DEI ways were coming to an end. It’s clear in the words of the medical group ‘Do No Harm,’ this is a “rebrand, not a rollback.”

Rather than follow the example of some colleges and schools around the country who have read the room and ended their DEI programs Temple University remains stubborn.

Sadly this strategy of retaining DEI programs while changing the name has become more common.

Schools and Universities remain woke, and too many continue to defy Executive Orders opposing prejudiced DEI practices.

The will of the taxpayer and ‘We the People’ continue to be defied by these so-called institutions of higher learning.
