After the Russian Conquest of Pokrovsk, 1,000 Ukrainian Troops Surrounded in Neighboring Mirnograd Beg for Extraction or Reinforcements and Supplies (VIDEOS)
Again, Ukrainian defenders are left to deal with impossible situations by their command.
After Russian forces conquered Pokrovsk (now called Krasnoarmeysk) and encircled neighboring Mirnograd, a dramatic situation developed for the more than 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers trapped in the city under heavy bombardment.
BILD reported (translated from the German):
“’We must either withdraw the contingent from Mirnograd or ensure stable logistics. Get us out of here or supply us! Otherwise, the city’s defenders will remain there forever’.”

Five brigades in Mirnograd are in an increasingly dire situation.
“To be honest, the situation is critical. Logistics are handled exclusively by drones and ground-based robotics systems. Even bringing in food is problematic.”

Russian forces cut off nearly all logistics routes for the defenders.
“Many units have been deployed to the region. And it would be good if one of these units, preferably an entire brigade, kept this damned supply route under control.”
