Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) attempted to strong-arm Secretary of War Pete Hegseth into coughing up sensitive military information on Tuesday regarding a months-old strike on narco-terrorists in the Caribbean and ended up embarrassed afterward.

As TGP readers know, the Trump administration ordered a strike on a drug boat from Venezuela. This strike in question is the first of dozens against drug boats in the Caribbean Sea, which have killed nearly 100 drug traffickers and reduced the number of drugs entering America.

Then, a November 29 report from the Washington Post claimed that Hegseth ordered troops to “kill everybody” on board the boats and ordered a double strike to kill survivors clinging to the wreckage of a ship in the Caribbean Sea.

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) described the operations as “blatantly illegal,” adding, “Mark my words: It may take some time, but Americans will be prosecuted for this, either as a war crime or outright murder.”

An angry Schumer declared to reporters on Tuesday he would confront Hegseth in a briefing on “exactly what the h*ll is going on in the Caribbean.”

Schumer also said he would try to bully Hegseth into handing over “the total unedited videos of what happened in the September 2 boat strikes.”

“What’s Hegseth hiding?” he asked.

But Hegseth rightfully refused to cave to Schumer’s attempted bullying. The humiliated Senate Minority Leader could only whine to reporters afterward.

SCHUMER: Okay, it was a very unsatisfying briefing. I asked Secretary of Defense Hegseth whether he would let every member of Congress see the unedited videos of the September 2 strike.

His answer: ‘We have to study it.’ Well, in my view, they have studied it long enough! Congress ought to be able to see it.

I told him that every member of Congress had a right to see it, wanted to see it, and should see it.

Did not get satisfying answers at all

The fact that the Senate Minority Leader believed that the War Secretary would hand over video for the Democrats to manipulate is the height of arrogance.

Fortunately, Hegseth possesses the necessary intellect and backbone to handle bullies like Schumer.
