JUST IN: House Passes $900B Military Defense Bill – Hardline Conservatives Decry Liberal Provisions and Ukraine Funding in Bill (VIDEO)

The US House of Representatives voted to pass a negotiated version of the National Defense Authorization Act on Wednesday, sending the Pentagon spending bill to the Senate for final approval.
This bill was negotiated with Democrats in the House and the Senate, resulting in a bipartisan vote that some MAGA firebrands opposed.
Per Fox:
An earlier procedural vote on the legislation just barely passed 215–211 at the 11th hour after four Republicans: Reps. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla, Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., all changed their votes from no to yes. All Democrats voted no on the procedural rule vote.
House and Senate leaders already have combined their own versions of the legislation into one negotiated package, meaning it should face smooth sailing through the Senate and to President Donald Trump’s desk.
Speaker Mike Johnson is touting provisions that offer enlisted troops a 4% pay raise, eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, crack down on antisemitism, eliminate $20 billion in spending on “obsolete programs” and “Pentagon bureaucracy” and policies that crack down on China.
In a victory for conservative privacy hawks like House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, the legislation includes a non-defense provision that would mandate FBI disclosure when the bureau was investigating presidential candidates and other candidates for federal office.
Not all Republicans were on board, with 18 Republicans voting against and 115 Democrats voting in favor.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) explained his “nay” vote in a video statement posted to X, slamming the “war pimps” for pushing this bill.
WATCH:
Burchett: Big vote tonight was the NDAA, National Defense Authorization Act, and it was $900.6 billion. There’s money in there for, of course, Ukraine, $800 million total, and some other things, money in there for recognizing an Indian tribe out of North Carolina— has nothing to do with national security— Syria, money, Iraq. But we just got to quit this stuff. Somebody’s, America’s got to start paying attention.
And the Ukraine stuff’s not even, Trump didn’t even ask for that. You’ve got the war pimps that push for this stuff. And they always will tell you, Oh, it’s, “Burchett, man, they’re gonna spend all that money here buying those missiles.” You know, is that what we’re basing our votes on is they’re going to buy implements to kill other people on? I’m all for getting rid of our enemies, but this is just too much, way too much, and things are just not what they appear. We need to wake up. I voted no. Over 100 Democrats voted to pass this. That ought to tell you right there what this is about. Got some liberal stuff tucked in there, and it’s over 3000 pages. We get it on Sunday, and we’re voting on it today. There’s no way, no way, we will ever know what was in there, and just— anyway, frustrated, we’ll keep fighting. Thank y’all for sending me here.
Rep Lauran Boebert also said on X that this version of the bill “funds DEI madness, is weak on border security, and is a gift to foreign countries that hate us.”
“This bill keeps sending YOUR money to Ukraine’s endless war while our own troops live in moldy barracks,” Boebert said on X. “This NDAA still forces women in our military to compete against (and shower with) biological men pretending to be women.
I was proud to support the NDAA when it passed the House earlier this year, but I’m voting NO on the garbage bill on the floor today.
The House passed a strong bill. What’s coming back is a woke, pork-stuffed betrayal of our troops and our country.
