WATCH: AOC Cackles Maniacally as She Declares She Would ‘Stomp’ Vance in a Presidential Election

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez confidently claimed that she would “stomp” Vice President JD Vance in a hypothetical head-to-head race for the presidency in 2028.
A video of the interview, shared by Benny Johnson, shows a reporter approaching AOC as she walks down the Capitol steps.
The reporter asks, “Do you think that you could beat J.D. Vance in a head-to-head race for president as polling suggests in 2028?”
Ocasio-Cortez responds without hesitation, “Listen, these polls like three years out are what they are, but let the record show I would stomp him.”
The remark is followed by what Johnson described as “endless cackling,” as the congresswoman continues laughing as she walks away.

The Democratic Socialist has been repeatedly floated as a potential 2028 candidate.
A recent poll has shown AOC leading a hypothetical matchup against Vance, but such early surveys are notoriously unreliable.
Neither Ocasio-Cortez nor Vance has announced a presidential run at this time.
Earlier this month, Vance told Sean Hannity, “I would say that I’ve thought about what that moment might look like after the midterm elections. But I also, whenever I think about that, I try to put it out of my head and remind myself the American people elected me to do a job right now, and my job is to do it.”
Vance has not publicly responded to AOC’s comments as of this writing.
