LAST STAND FOR WESTERN CIVIZATION: Trump Faces Historic National Security Decision — Will He BAN the Muslim Brotherhood?

Donald Trump is poised to make what may well be the most consequential national security decision of his second presidency.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, fresh from meetings with representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood’s two main enablers, Qatar and Turkey, announced that sanctions would be placed on the group “very soon.”
What exactly such sanctions will involve at a moment when the administration considers those two nations to be key allies and believes they will play constructive roles in a second phase of peace-making is what makes Mr. Trump’s decision so fraught.
If the President succumbs to the intense pressure being brought on him by Qatari and Turkish leaders and the influential American friends they have enlisted in recent months – both inside and outside the U.S. government, he may miss the last, best chance to counter the kind of subversive, stealthy sharia-supremacism that is restoring the caliphate in the Middle East, bringing Europe to the point of “civilization erasure” and is no less intent on destroying this country.
That would be the upshot of a presidential designation of just one or more select “chapters” or “subdivisions” of the Brotherhood, leaving what its members call “the mother movement” unsanctioned.
Such a minimalist outcome was clearly contemplated by the Executive Order that put the present decision-making “process” in train with a 30-day directive to Secretary Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to provide their recommendations in a report due by Christmas Eve.
The E.O. cited only the MB’s Egyptian, Jordanian and Lebanese chapters as candidates for designation as “foreign terrorist organizations.”
Since they are already banned in their respective countries, the practical effect of such a sanction on these entities would be, at best, symbolic.
Much more likely it would have far worse repercussions. It would be further proof to the jihadists inspired, directed and in some cases enabled by the Muslim Brotherhood that they are winning and will succeed in their express goal: destroying Western civilization from within and by our hands.
In a powerful warning issued at AmFest on December 20th, President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard made crystal clear the threat such ambitions pose to this country, and the rest of what’s left of the Free World.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s sharia-supremacist ideology, which she called “Islamism” is “the greatest near and long-term threat to our freedom and security.”

It not only establishes that the Muslim Brotherhood itself is a foreign terrorist organization – with the blood of many Americans on its hands and those of its myriad allied jihadist groups and proxies, and the stated objective of replacing our constitutional Republic with global Islamic rule according to sharia’s brutally repressive totalitarian code.
Consequently, President Trump must actually ban the Brotherhood, as Governors Greg Abbott of Texas and Ron DeSantis of Florida have done in their respective states, and as have, among others, the governments of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, as well as Egypt and Jordan.
To be sure, it will not be easy to do what Mr. Trump promised as the 2016 Republican nominee for president in an epic speech in Youngstown, Ohio on August 15th of that year – namely, to ensure that the “support networks of Radical Islam are stripped out and removed one-by-one.”
But if we don’t start now, it may as a practical matter become too late for America to take such corrective action, as it appears to be for Europe.
Make no mistake: The failure to demonstrate that the Muslim Brotherhood is our enemy and will be treated as such from top to bottom will not simply condemn this country and the rest of Western civilization to more of the inexorable, slow but steady, seditious frog-boiling at the MB’s hands over the past few decades.
The result will surely be the rapid acceleration of the sort of violent jihad here and elsewhere that sharia calls for to secure the ultimate triumph of Islam by, as the Koran puts it, making Islam’s enemies “feel subdued.”
