It has been a tough 24 hours for the leftists over on Bluesky.

After President Trump ordered a special military operation to detain and extradite Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, users of the explicitly left-wing social media platform were left crying into their pillows.

Their comments ranged from calls for Trump’s impeachment to suggestions that he be charged with international war crimes.

Here are some examples:

Trump in his quest to emulate Putin is now doing what Putin did in Ukraine. This is a war crime.

Kidnapping a country’s leader is universally illegal under both domestic and international law. It is considered a serious crime, often a felony, and can even be classified as a war crime Trump should be frogmarched to the Hague

Trump justified his illegal war in Venezuela by saying that Venezuela was not producing enough oil.

Venezuela was not producing enough oil because of sanctions and blockades Trump orchestrated.
