The falsely held legal belief call “split the baby,” is when there is compromise in arbitration. This comes from the Old Testament when Solomon devised a test and threatened to cut a living child in two, giving its halves to two arguing women. This was a way to find the truth; it was not a compromise. Unfortunately, many in authority today strive to compromise, rather than seek the truth, to the detriment of all parties.
