Failed Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg weighed in on Trump’s operation to remove Nicolas Maduro from power on Saturday, and it backfired miserably.

Maduro was captured in the dead of night with no US forces being killed on Saturday morning, and he was indicted in the Southern District of New York on charges of Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machine Guns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States, the Gateway Pundit reported.

Following the operation, Trump posted the following video of the strikes, which targeted at least four sites around Caracas, Venezuela. No US troops were killed in the operation.

The Biden regime offered a $25 million reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest, but did nothing during its four years in office.

Buttigieg claimed on Saturday that Trump’s move to capture Maduro represents “an old and obvious pattern,” where “an unpopular president – failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home – decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.”

“The American people don’t want to ‘run’ a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one,” he continued.

It’s an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president – failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home – decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

However, a 2020 tweet resurfaced, in which Buttigieg calls for Maduro’s ouster following an election that was widely viewed as stolen and created a political crisis in Venezuela. Opposition leader Juan Guaidó declared himself interim president, and US-Venezuela relations soured as Maduro accused the Trump administration of plotting a coup.

“The illegitimate takeover of the Venezuelan National Assembly is further evidence that dictator Maduro will stop at nothing to consolidate his grip on power. I stand behind Juan Guaidó and the Venezuelan people as they strive to reclaim their democracy and defend their rights,” he said in a January 6, 2020, X post that remains published.

Naturally, X users destroyed Buttigieg in the comments:
