No one has ever accused Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison of being a constitutional scholar. Still, his take on an essential law regarding protecting the right to assemble peacefully is exceptionally brain-dead.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, radical anti-ICE agitators stormed Cities Church in St. Paul, interrupting Christians in the middle of worship.

Instead of condemning the mob’s conduct or defending the constitutional right to religious assembly, far-left ‘reporter’ Lemon inserted himself into the chaos—live-streaming the scene and aggressively confronting congregants who were already shaken by the intrusion.

This is the beginning of what’s going to happen here,” Lemon said as anti-ICE protestors shouted down the pastor and harassed parishioners.

Lemon later rushed to the church altar and tried to lecture a pastor about the First Amendment. This just further incited the wicked mob of demons.

Due to the actions of Lemon and the rioters, the Trump Administration has vowed to prosecute all involved. One of the laws they will use against the lawbreakers is the FACE Act.

The FACE Act, which was passed in 1994, prohibits private individuals from physically preventing others from seeking abortions. However, it also prevents others from harassing those who want to worship peacefully.

From the DOJ website:

This Act prohibits the use or threat of force and physical obstruction that injures, intimidates, or interferes with a person seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health services or to exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship.

Ellison, though, argued that the FACE Act was only designed to safeguard women who are seeking abortions because right-wing ‘crazies’ had been breaking into “reproductive health centers.”

He next expressed puzzlement that the Trump Administration would use the law to go after people disrupting a church service.

WATCH:

ELLISON: The FACE Act, by the way, is designed to protect the rights of people seeking reproductive rights, so people cannot just use religion to break into women’s reproductive health centers.

How they are stretching these laws to people protesting in a church is beyond me.

Social media users quickly put Lemon on blast for his complete ignorance:
