OUTRAGEOUS: Woke Bishop Uses Christianity to Launch a Despicable Attack on President Trump During National Prayer Service – Trump Responds (VIDEO)

A woke bishop decided to hide behind the Christian faith to launch an outrageous attack on President Trump during today’s National Prayer Service.

As the AP reported, Trump went to the Washington National Cathedral for which was supposed to be a uniting, apolitical event. This interfaith ceremony has been held the morning after every inauguration dating back to 1933.

But during the service, Episcopal Washington Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde took an opportunity to chastise Trump, outrageous implying that he was heartless toward the LGBTQ community and illegals.

“Let me make one final plea, Mr. President,” Budde began. “As you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God.”

“In the name of a loving God, to have mercy on the people in our country who are scared now, she stated. “There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and Independent families, some who fear for their lives.”

“And the people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings…They may not be citizens or have the proper documentation,” she added.

“The vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors…May I ask you to have mercy Mr. President on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away,” she concluded.

The Washington Examiner notes that Budde is a despicable Never-Trumper who has trashed the 47th President in the past. She previously wrote an op-ed for the far-left New York Times in 2020 saying she was “outraged by President Trump’s use of the Bible and the backdrop of St. John’s Church for his political purposes” during the summer of George Floyd riots.

Budde also wrote she was “horrified” that Trump “was threatening to use military force across America” while “peaceful protesters” were being forcibly removed from Lafayette Park.

Trump as expected was displeased over the bishop’s disgusting invocation of politics during what was supposed to be a nonpolitical service.

“What did you think?,” he told reporters. “Did you find it exciting? Was not too exciting, was it?”

“They could do so much better,” Trump added.

One could argue Trump was being far too kind and would have been justified in walking out of the church as soon as Budde corrupted the Christian faith.
