Full Force Authorized: President Trump Orders Troops to Portland, OR, and Other Cities, to Protect ICE From Antifa and Other Domestic Terrorists

President Donald Trump is responding to the deadly attack, shootings and siege protests on ICE facilities by Antifa and other leftist domestic terrorists by ordering the deployment of troops to Portland, Oregon, and other areas around the country, to protect ICE facilities. Trump added, “I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary.”

Earlier this week, Trump designated Antifa a domestic terrorist group.

Portland has been the scene of a months-long siege by Antifa terrorists at the ICE facility that the local Democratic government has allowed to take place even though local residents have also been attacked.

Several ICE facilities in Texas have been fired upon by Antifa and lone gunmen this summer, with this week’s attack killing an illegal alien who was in ICE custody and wounding two others also in ICE custody.

An ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois, has been sieged by leftist agitators this month in an ongoing battle.

“At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Friday night, before Trump’s troop announcement, Attorney General Pam Bondi posted that she was ordering a massive federal law enforcement deployment to protect immigration enforcement:

“I have witnessed the continued onslaught of violence perpetrated against ICE officers across our country. The Department of Justice will not stand idly by in the face of such lawlessness. At my direction, I am deploying DOJ agents to ICE facilities—and wherever ICE comes under siege—to safeguard federal agents, protect federal property, and immediately arrest all individuals engaged in any federal crime. Pursuant to President Trump’s recent executive action, I am also instructing the Joint Terrorism Task Forces across the country to disrupt and investigate all entities and individuals engaged in acts of domestic terrorism, including the repeated acts of violence and obstruction against federal agents. The Department of Justice will seek the most serious available charges against all participants in these criminal mobs, including conspiracy offenses, assault offenses, civil disorder offenses, and terrorism offenses. While these never-ending attacks are designed to break our will, they only strengthen our resolve to complete the work begun. To that end, I have directed the FBI, DEA, ATF, and USMS to accelerate our efforts alongside the Department of Homeland Security to locate, apprehend, detain, prosecute, and remove all illegal aliens present in our country. The rule of law will prevail.”

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller also posted Friday, “Assets mobilizing. This campaign of terrorism will be brought down.”

Miller added, “We are witnessing domestic terrorist sedition against the federal government. The JTTF has been dispatched by the Attorney General, pursuant to NSPM-7. All necessary resources will be utilized.”

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby direct the following:

Section 1. Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence. Heinous assassinations and other acts of political violence in the United States have dramatically increased in recent years. Even in the aftermath of the horrifying assassination of Charlie Kirk, some individuals who adhered to the alleged shooter’s ideology embraced and cheered this evil murder while actively encouraging more political violence. This was preceded by the 2024 assassination of a senior healthcare executive and the 2022 assassination attempt against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Two separate assassination attempts against my own life in less than 3 months took place during the 2024 Presidential election cycle. Riots in Los Angeles and Portland reflect a more than 1,000 percent increase in attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers since January 21, 2025, compared to the same period last year. Just yesterday, a shooting targeting an ICE facility in Dallas resulted in multiple casualties. Separate anti-police and “criminal justice” riots have left many people dead and injured and inflicted over $2 billion in property damage nationwide.

This political violence is not a series of isolated incidents and does not emerge organically. Instead, it is a culmination of sophisticated, organized campaigns of targeted intimidation, radicalization, threats, and violence designed to silence opposing speech, limit political activity, change or direct policy outcomes, and prevent the functioning of a democratic society. A new law enforcement strategy that investigates all participants in these criminal and terrorist conspiracies — including the organized structures, networks, entities, organizations, funding sources, and predicate actions behind them — is required.
