Many will remember that in December 2021, Maxwell was convicted of: Conspiracy to entice minors to travel for illegal sex acts; Enticement of a minor to travel for illegal sex acts; Conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity; Transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity; Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors.
She was appealing her conviction and sentence, arguing that she should have been covered by a Non-Prosecution-Agreement signed by former US Attorney Alex Acosta as part of the ‘sweetheart plea deal’ that Jeffrey Epstein got in Florida back in the 1990s.
NBC News reported:
“The decision means that Maxwell’s conviction on three counts and her 20-year criminal sentence remain in place. The case was one in a list of dozens of appeals that piled up in recent months that the justices rejected as they started a new nine-month court term.”

Maxwell lawyer David Oscar Markus insisted that the Epstein agreement with Acosta should apply in her case, which was prosecuted in New York.
“’We’re, of course, deeply disappointed that the Supreme Court declined to hear Ghislaine Maxwell’s case’, Markus said in a statement. ‘But this fight isn’t over. Serious legal and factual issues remain, and we will continue to pursue every avenue available to ensure that justice is done’, he added.”
