British hedge fund billionaire Christopher Hohn has become one of the most dangerous foreign actors shaping America’s climate debate.

Once hailed as a “prolific contributor” to environmental causes, Hohn has poured staggering sums into organizations that push not moderate reforms, but radical, anti-American agendas.

His personal fortune and his nonprofit, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), have bankrolled groups like Extinction Rebellion.

The global network is best known for shutting down highways, gluing themselves to airplanes, and calling for open rebellion against the United States government.

In 2019, Extinction Rebellion’s American branch staged a series of disruptive protests in Washington, D.C., seizing control of intersections around the Capitol. Dozens were arrested.

Their stated mission is nothing less than forcing “rebellion” against what they call the government’s “criminal inaction” on climate.

Hohn’s money was behind it. He personally donated at least $65,000 to XR and funneled nearly $200,000 more through CIFF. Those are only small pieces of a much larger picture.

In 2018, CIFF pumped $7 million into the Center for Climate Integrity, a Washington-based outfit that encourages cities to sue American energy companies.

That same year, CIFF supported groups dedicated to climate litigation—weaponizing the legal system to cripple industries that employ millions of Americans and fuel our economy.

By 2019, Hohn had invested over $400 million in climate projects and pledged another half-billion to escalate the pressure campaign.

Hohn, a British billionaire with ties to Europe’s financial elite, is trying to dictate America’s energy future by funding anarchist-style activism and lawsuits designed to strangle fossil fuels.

The result would be higher prices, fewer jobs, and greater dependence on foreign suppliers—exactly what the radical Left and their globalist allies want.

The hypocrisy is staggering. While Hohn bankrolls activists who chain themselves to airplanes, his hedge fund maintains massive stakes in Airbus, Heathrow Airport, and even Coal India, one of the world’s largest coal producers.

At one point, nearly half of his fund’s assets were invested in fossil fuel utilities. In other words, he profits from the very industries he pays to destroy in America.

President Trump has been right from the start: the climate movement has less to do with saving the planet than with controlling people, economies, and governments.

Billionaires like Hohn are using their fortunes to push dangerous policies on countries they don’t even live in, undermining energy independence and sabotaging American workers.

Republicans must keep exposing these schemes and standing firm.

Our energy, our jobs, and our sovereignty cannot be handed over to foreign billionaires and radical activists who want rebellion instead of reason.
