During a hearing dramatically titled “Trump’s Assault on Chicago,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett delivered one of the most unhinged, hypocritical performances Congress has seen this year.
In a speech packed with explosive accusations, Crockett labeled the Trump administration “racist,” compared federal law enforcement to “slave patrols,” and even suggested ICE agents resemble the Ku Klux Klan.
Her rhetoric was extreme, theatrical, and detached from reality—but most astonishing was her refusal to acknowledge her own record: a long history of pushing DEI programs that openly discriminate on the basis of race.
Crockett began by declaring, “This administration is racist. He has always been a racist.”
From there, she launched into a bizarre historical analogy, claiming present-day ICE operations “felt like what slave patrols would look like,” calling agents “lawless people” who “disappear” individuals without warrants.
She portrayed federal officers—who carry out duties authorized by Congress—as criminals.
The irony is unavoidable. Crockett herself champions DEI frameworks that assign value, opportunity, and resources explicitly based on skin color.
She supports racial quotas, race-based hiring systems, and racial preferences in government programs.
Accusing others of racism is not a principled stand—it is a political necessity to deflect from her own discriminatory ideology.
Her escalation continued.
Crockett claimed Trump “created the culture” that allows ICE to “mask up as Klan members,” a reckless smear that demeans actual victims of racially motivated violence and slanders federal agents who regularly rescue children from trafficking networks and arrest dangerous fugitives.
Equating these officers to white supremacists is not only false—it is dangerous.
The hearing itself, framed as “Trump’s Assault on Chicago,” was designed to manufacture a political narrative rather than address Chicago’s real crisis: a breakdown of public safety under far-left leadership.
Yet Crockett praised the city’s deeply unpopular progressive mayor as a “man of valor,” portraying him as a hero resisting a “villain.”
Chicago’s soaring crime, fleeing residents, and collapsing governance did not merit a single sentence of honest reflection.
Crockett also cited isolated medical incidents in ICE custody, using them as proof of nationwide “cruel and unusual punishment.”
Rather than propose solutions or bipartisan oversight, she used anecdotal tragedy as a political weapon.
The hearing exposed something unmistakable: Crockett’s worldview is not grounded in facts, law, or public safety. It is grounded in racialized rhetoric designed to divide Americans and demonize law enforcement.
Her words do not help immigrants, improve policing, or fix the system. They inflame, mislead, and distort.
The real “assault” on Chicago is not coming from Trump.
It is coming from leaders who refuse to confront reality, smear police to score political points, and promote discriminatory DEI policies while accusing everyone else of racism.
