Dan Bongino Responds to Epstein Redaction Email

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino responded to an Epstein file redaction email obtained through a FOIA request.

Investigative reporter for Bloomberg, Jason Leopold, obtained dozens of emails in response to a FOIA request for FBI emails related to Jeffrey Epstein files.

Dan Bongino was forwarded an internal FBI email on March 18 discussing ‘guidance’ on certain redactions related to the Epstein records.

“Good talking with each of you yesterday. IMD is happy to support,” the email forwarded to Bongino read.

“I wanted to share the below, as we seek guidance from the GC on the types of redactions to apply to these documents so we can process the right way out of the gate,” the email read.

Bongino was merely forwarded the email and the legacy media is suggesting that Bongino is demanding redactions before the Epstein files are released.

Details about the redactions or the specific files are not clear.

Dan Bongino responded to the email release.

“Folks, I entered on duty on March 17th. The emails in the chain you see forwarded to me, at my request, were sent before I began in my position,” Bongino said on Sunday.

“I wanted to review what have been done before I entered on duty. It was a priority and, as you can see, they responded immediately,” Bongino said.

“I’m glad that these emails are available for your review,” he added.

President Trump last month ordered all Epstein files to be released.
