Democrat Senator Elissa Slotkin (MI) said she is being investigated by federal prosecutors after she urged members of the military to defy President Trump.

In November, without offering any specifics, Senators Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), along with Democrat Reps. Maggie Goodlander (NH), Jason Crow (CO), Chris Deluzio (PA), and Chrissy Houlahan (PA) repeatedly stated, “You can refuse illegal orders,” or “You must refuse illegal orders,” in a viral video.

Slotkin, a former CIA analyst, was the organizer of the video.

She was the ringleader and proudly urged US service members to defy orders from President Trump and Pete Hegseth.

President Trump reacted to the video and said the Democrat lawmakers’ action was “seditious behavior, punishable by death.”

The New York Times reported that US Attorney Jeanine Pirro is spearheading the investigation into Slotkin.

Last week, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth censured Democrat Senator Mark Kelly and announced that he is cutting his military rank and pension.

Slotkin lashed out at the Trump Administration in a statement to The New York Times.

“Facts matter little, but the threat matters quite a bit,” Slotkin said. “The threat of legal action; the threat to your family; the threat to your staff; the threat to you.”

Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan says she has learned that federal prosecutors are investigating her after she took part in a video urging military service members to resist illegal orders.

Ms. Slotkin, a Democrat, said in an interview on Monday that she found out about the inquiry from the office of Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia and a longtime ally of President Trump’s. In an email sent to the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms, Ms. Pirro’s office requested an interview with the senator or her private counsel.

A spokesman for Ms. Pirro’s office declined to confirm or deny any investigation, and it is unclear exactly what officials have identified as a possible crime related to the video.
