WATCH: Americans Call Out Democrat Massachusetts Governor Healey for High-Tax, Pro-Illegal Policies

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey delivered her state of the commonwealth address last week, and Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Minogue released a video of supporters calling out Healey for her unaffordable, high-tax policies and giving taxpayer benefits to illegals.

After Massachusetts spent over $1 billion in FY2025 housing migrants, Gov Healey suspended public reporting of the costs.

Ahead of Governor Maura Healey’s State of the Commonwealth address, residents from cities and towns across Massachusetts are speaking directly about what they are experiencing every day: energy bills they cannot afford, housing out of reach, rising taxes, and a government spending billions while ignoring working families and veterans. Governor Healey blames others and campaigns on the problems even though she has been in charge for over three years.

The Minogue campaign released a new video featuring Bay Staters, in their own words, describing the real state of Massachusetts under the Healey administration.

“Tonight, the Governor will deliver her State of the Commonwealth,” said Mike Minogue. “But across Massachusetts, Bay Staters see a different picture. Working people can’t afford to pay their bills for housing, healthcare, energy, and taxes. We need a governor who listens to people, supports the audit of the legislature, and solves the problems instead of campaigning on them.”

The video highlights growing frustration from families, seniors, and workers who feel squeezed by skyrocketing costs, ignored by the political establishment, and shut out of decisions that directly affect their communities. While the administration points to speeches and slogans, Bay Staters are left grappling with unaffordable housing, punishing energy bills, excessive taxes, and misplaced spending priorities:

My energy costs are way too high. It’s the middle of winter. I’m looking at my bills coming in, and I’m freaking out.

Hi, I’m Fidel from Newton. My taxes are too high, and they’re being wasted on illegal immigrant programs.

Jim from Hudson, and my energy bills are way too high.

I’m Chris from Concord. Homes are not affordable in Massachusetts.

Hi, my name is Katrina Buck. I’m from Acton, Massachusetts, and I think the taxes are absolutely criminal.

I’m really concerned about what kind of a state my children and grandchildren are gonna grow up in.

We spend too much money on illegal immigration.

We spend $3 billion in illegal immigrants, yet we have veterans sleeping in streets during this time of year.
