BREAKING UPDATE: The FBI released photos and video of a masked subject in the Guthrie abduction case.

FBI Director Kash Patel said the video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home may have been corrupted.

Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.

Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.

There has been a potential break in the Nancy Guthrie abduction case.

Law enforcement may release a surveillance photo of a potential subject this afternoon.

Per NBC News: Law enforcement is expected to release a surveillance photo showing a potential subject in the ongoing investigation into the taking of Nancy Guthrie as soon as this afternoon, according to two senior law enforcement officials say.

According to CNN, the “subject” is wearing mask and carrying a backpack or tools:

The FBI will soon release a new image from a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s house showing a person who appears to be wearing a mask and carrying a backpack or tools, NBC News reported, citing a source familiar with the investigation.

The person is considered a “subject” in the investigation, the network said, and the bureau hopes assistance from the public can help gather more information about this individual. The image is not clear, according to NBC.

Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home last weekend.
